Why is Titanium and Stainless steel chain such a good opportunity?

Titanium and Stainless Steel are two of the most popular jewelry choices today. These metals are strong, clean and extremely durable.  However, due to their cost and the expensive tools required, rarely will one find true 'handmade' titanium or stainless steel jewelry...that is until now. 

TITAN CHAINS has improved on traditional, age-old chain making techniques and by 'weaving' very thin, flexible pieces of wire an exceptionally strong and amazingly beautiful piece of fine chain can be easily created. The key is the process and supplies we use, most important the size and grade of titanium and stainless steel. All of which Titan Chains has perfected and now making available to you.

 ►What really sets the process apart from other handmade chains is how fast they can be made. The main reasons for this is that your work is pulled through a draw plate, which has holes decreasing in size (see pic.)  The chain is pulled through the holes starting from large to small.
This means less work for you!

 ►For example, you'll only have to make a 12" piece to get a 19" chain!!!   It's like magic as you watch your small piece of woven wire instantly grow into a stunning chain. 

We've refined the process so less work has to be done.  Typical draw plates are made from wood, metal or a plastic which originally caused problems with our technique. The metal types are for pulling actual wire and would damage the chain.  While the thinner plastic and wood draw plates (even the hardwoods) are too weak for the titanium and steel chains.  Pulling the chain was difficult and tore up the holes resulting in a lopsided, uneven chain.  Then we realized modern metal requires a modern draw plate, so we made ours out of UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) polyethylene, and it works great. The holes are smooth and chain easily glides through and because the plate is thick and strong the holes stay perfectly intact.  The only drawback is the cost...but, buying in bulk allows us to supply all our kits with UHMW draw plates.
